Reverse Phone Searches

There’s seems to be a bit of confusion as to how to do a reverse phone search.  You’ve got a phone number and you don’t know whose it is.

It could be anything from a scribbled down phone number on a crumbled piece of paper to a number on your phone bill that you don’t recognize.

All you need to do is plug it into Google and see what information comes up.  This works great for publicly available phone numbers like businesses and institutions and for private individuals’ land line phone numbers if they are published in the phone book.

The problem comes when the number you have is a private, unpublished number which is the case for almost all fax numbers and mobile phone numbers.  So, if you’re trying to track down a cell phone number owner, you’re pretty much out of luck unless you use a private reverse phone search company.
